I spent twenty-some years as a research engineer, and all of them quietly making art I never showed anyone. Then I stopped hiding it.

Now I paint walls the size of buildings, pull glass out of a kiln at 1500 degrees, and make things meant to be worn, handled, and lived with — not stored away.

Angel Wings

Several pairs of wings across a long brick wall, sized so anyone who steps up to it — standing, seated, or very small — gets a set that fits.

River Memory

Forty feet of moving water across a lobby that had been beige since 1994.

The Studio

Almost everything I make comes back to the same three things. How water moves. How light passes through a thing and changes it. How many layers deep you can look before you lose the bottom.

Glass gave me all three at once. Paint gave me scale. Clay gave me weight in the hand.
